What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Ops Specialist I position at Desert Financial Credit Union?
The Payment Ops Spec I is responsible for supporting Payment processes within the Credit Union. They will conduct validation and authentication of Payment files, as well as processing, adjustment, and posting of high-volume transactions. The Payment Ops Spec will complete all tasks in accordance with NACHA rules, Reg E and Reg CC in addition to maintaining compliance with standard procedures and policies applicable to the organization.
What you will do here:
Complete authentication and validation of payment files on a daily basis, within compliance of all associated rules and regulations . Handle routine exceptions related to payment processing. Complete dispute processing and adjustment requests.
Maintain positive relationships with all customers, responding to basic inquiries and issues.
Work with internal teams to ensure that we are mitigating risk of loss by identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity
Perform all other job duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 years of related banking experience required.
1 years of related customer service experience required.
Demonstrated ability to perform data analytics required.
Strong customer service skills; effective listening and problem resolution in a timely manner required.
Demonstrated effective decision-making skills required.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) required.
Demonstrated Computer Literacy required.
