What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN, Immediate Care (PS) position at Desert Oasis Healthcare?
Provides care/services under the California State Law defining the Nurse Practice Act.
- Patient Assessment/Evaluation.
- Patient Planning/Implementation.
- Medication Administration.
- ECG- performs electrocardiograms as ordered by the provider and according to approved policy and procedure.
- Dressing/Sutures/Orthopedics Appliances.
- Patient and/or Provider Assistance.
- Non-Invasive Procedure.
- Invasive Procedures.
- Testing.
- Documentation & Information.
- Quality Control Activities.
- Responds to all codes.
- Responsible for lab draws, specimen processing using CBC machine and Piccolo, and relaying results to MD as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Current California LVN License.
- 2 years experience in an acute care, emergency room, urgent care or immediate care, preferred.
- Knowledgeable in scope of practice.
- Able to communicate effectively with patients and physicians.
- Able to work independently and assist in directing others to achieve care goals.
- BLS and ACLS required. Proficient with I.V.
- Current California driver license and proof of automobile insurance required.
