Position Overview:
Desert Services International is seeking an experienced Cellular Tower Technician to join our team. This position is essential for the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cellular tower infrastructure in Arizona. As a key member of our team, you will work on-site with various construction equipment, supervise tower-related tasks, and ensure the smooth operation of cellular systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on cellular towers and related equipment.
- Supervise hands-on tower work and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
- Conduct and document sweep testing, PIM testing, and re-commissioning tasks.
- Oversee the placement and testing of hybrid cables and RRH installations.
- Work on construction sites, coordinating activities with team members to meet project goals.
- Operate heavy equipment, earth-moving equipment, and trenching equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality and timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of related experience in the telecommunications or construction industry.
- Strong organizational, written, verbal, and computer communication skills.
- Time management, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to follow direction precisely and execute tasks independently.
- A valid driver's license in compliance with the company's Vehicle Policy.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass a drug screening and meet background screening criteria.
- Experience working on construction sites, including exposure to heavy equipment.
- Hands-on concrete placement and tower work experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve performance goals and meet deadlines.
- Must be willing and able to travel as needed for job-related functions.
