Desert Garage / Desert Services International, Inc. is now hiring for a shop Mechanics Helper / Trailer Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting in the repairing of various heavy equipment, large trucks, and trailers.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect/repair brake systems, wiring, axles, hubs, and decks of trailers.
- Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, hoists, jacks, to repair trailers, trucks, and equipment while constantly utilizing safety procedures.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.
- Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devices such as motor analyzers, handheld computers to determine how to address problems.
