A full-service architecture, engineering, and interior design firm based in Austin, Texas is looking to add to their team with a HVAC Commissioning Specialist. The candidate must thrive in a “team environment” and work collaboratively with the firm’s integrated engineers and architects.
THE ROLE
The Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for working with architectural and engineering team members and coordinating project team members responsibilities of systems testing, design, or construction documents of various scale projects.
- Providing services from start to finish on multiple educational and healthcare projects
- Assist owner in development of the OPR
- Review BOD document to ensure adherence with the OPR
- Review Design Documents
- Develop commissioning specifications
- Review Submittals
- Perform progress Site Visits
- Attend commissioning meetings
- Develop and review construction pre-functional/startup checklists
- Develop and perform system functional testing including seasonal testing
- Maintenance of Issues Log
- Review TAB reports
- Development of systems manuals
- Preparation of final commissioning reports
ABOUT YOU
This role requires a passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, you’ll need…
- Minimum 2-3 years of industry experience
- Keen ability to focus on all aspects of the systems being tested, ensuring that every component, function, and process meets the required standards and specifications
- Familiarity with the commissioning process and principles
- Commissioning software experience: CxAlloy or Facility Grid
- EIT, PE or commissioning certification is preferred
- Controls or TAB experience is preferred
- HVAC Design experience preferred
