OConnell Robertson is seeking an individual to join the MEP Engineering team, serving as a Commissioning Specialist in Austin, Texas. The candidate must thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively with our firms integrated engineers and architects. We need someone who can give critical insight to project teams on a variety of construction types to help our clients achieve their goals. Bottom line we want only the best.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO .
The Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for working with architectural and engineering team members and coordinating project team members responsibilities of systems testing, design, or construction documents of various scale projects.
- Providing services from start to finish on multiple educational and healthcare projects
- Assist owner in development of the OPR
- Review BOD document to ensure adherence with the OPR
- Review Design Documents
- Develop commissioning specifications
- Review Submittals
- Perform progress Site Visits
- Attend commissioning meetings
- Develop and review construction pre-functional/startup checklists
- Develop and perform system functional testing including seasonal testing
- Maintenance of Issues Log
- Review TAB reports
- Development of systems manuals
- Preparation of final commissioning reports
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS NEW ROLE
Were looking for passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, youll need
- Minimum 2-3 years of industry experience
- Keen ability to focus on all aspects of the systems being tested, ensuring that every component, function, and process meets the required standards and specifications
- Familiarity with the commissioning process and principles
- Commissioning software experience: CxAlloy or Facility Grid
- EIT, PE or commissioning certification is preferred
- Controls or TAB experience is preferred
- HVAC Design experience preferred
