What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Manpower Coordinator position at Design Mechanical Inc?
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :
- Dispatches resources (Sheet Metal and Pipefitters) for construction-type projects company-wide.
- Request from PM’s or Service Sales Engineers any necessary drawings, submittals or project specifications that foreman may need, at times print these documents off as well.
- Manages new hires, lay-offs, let-goes, tech incentive’s, raises and apprentice needs.
- Communicate with Business Managers at Local 2 and Local 533 regarding manpower needs or issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE : Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum three year’s Dispatcher experience. Construction / HVAC experience is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as workorders, job write-ups and purchase orders. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
