Mechanical Engineering Technician

Design Ready Controls is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of innovative control panels for our OEM clients.

Position Summary:

This dynamic position offers a variety of exciting challenges, including 3D modeling, drafting, and process improvement. You will be responsible for creating and revising engineering documentation, implementing design changes, and optimizing production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• CAD Modeling & Drafting:
  • Develop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings of parts and assemblies using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Solidworks).
  • Create and revise engineering drawings (fabricated parts, instructions, assembly drawings, etc.).
• Design & Engineering:
  • Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Develop and modify CNC programs for production.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing production and assembly processes.
  • Conduct studies to optimize workflow and maximize space utilization.
• Problem-Solving & Analysis:
  • Analyze technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Effectively communicate with engineers, production personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
  • Experience with PDM (Parts Data Management) Systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes (preferred).
• Other Skills:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-25 lbs at a time on occasion.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive Salary:$50,000-$60,000 annually DOE
