What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Logistics Supervisor position at Design Resources?
A well-established Overland Park apparel company with a distribution center in Edwardsville, KS is looking to add to our Warehouse Team. This fun, fast-paced environment is looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented person to join our team. The position is for the Edwardsville, KS location.
This position will be assisting the warehouse manager in maintaining a safe, efficient, and effective work environment. This position requires a positive attitude with the capability to lead and motivate others.
Requirements:
• Hands-on work on our distribution floor.
• Extended periods of standing and/or walking, moderate lifting, and reasonable mobility are required.
• Must be able to handle and manipulate a variety of warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Must be Forklift Certified.
• A Valid Driver’s License and a clean 3-year driving record.
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail, accuracy, and completeness.
• Comprehensive follow-through with the ability to document resolutions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written – Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Creative problem solving
Responsibilities:
• Operating and maintaining equipment such as reach trucks, pickers and other machinery as well as recognizing faults or damage to said equipment.
• Use of our WMS system to correct inventory discrepancies and utilize proper internal processes to ensure prompt order picking and shipping.
• Communicating with other departments and companies in an efficient and cordial manner.
• Prioritizing and completing projects or tasks given by management.
• Directing warehouse personnel in standard daily operations and projects.
• Help in conducting complete inventories as well as annual cycle counts.
• Practice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements to standard procedures.
• Troubleshoot product discrepancies such as invalid UPC’s, mislabeling, carton markings and other receiving accuracy related issues.
• DRI is a Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) certified business and therefore this position will require an understanding and the application of regulations to ensure that we maintain C- TPAT compliance.
