Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Vegetation Spray Technician to join our team. No experience is needed, training and certification in pesticide application is provided. In this role, you will be responsible for mixing and applying pesticides and herbicides to various plants, including trees, shrubs, lawns, and crops. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn chemical application methods and a commitment to safety and environmental best practices. On the job training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Chemical Mixing and Application: Accurately mix and apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides using sprays, dusts, vapors, soil incorporation, or other methods, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
2. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain application equipment, including sprayers, dusters, chainsaw and other machinery, ensuring they are in good working order and calibrated for effective use.
3. Site Assessment: Conduct site evaluations to determine weed control needs, assess environmental conditions, and identify target areas for treatment.
4. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of chemical applications, including types and amounts of chemicals used, locations treated, and dates of application for compliance and reporting purposes.
5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all relevant laws and regulations regarding pesticide application.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
