Project Engineer, Land Development


Our client, an innovative engineering, planning, and design consultancy, is excited to welcome a Project Engineer to their Site/Civil team at their vibrant and collaborative Herndon office.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer in Land Development you’ll bring technical skills and innovative problem-solving to a wide range of projects. Core responsibilities include:

  • Assist in site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control for diverse land development projects.
  • Conduct planning studies, develop preliminary and final designs, and guide project permitting.
  • Drive design efforts for water and sanitary sewer systems, including subdivision plans.
  • Design E&S control measures in accordance with state regulations.
  • Work closely with engineers, planners, and surveyors to ensure smooth project integration and successful outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in the Northern Virginia area.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 years in land development design.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Possession or active pursuit of E.I.T.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration throughout design and project execution.
