Master Planner/Scheduler

Position Overview 

This position plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle.  The Master Planner/Scheduler is responsible for organizing production according to demand to ensure goods are produced on time for distribution within manufacturing capacity and in a profitable manner.  This role requires someone well versed in production planning procedures and ways to optimize them.  Organized, results driven with excellent problem-solving skills, advanced communication and computer skills are essential to be successful.

Essential Job Duties 

  • Coordinate production workflow for all products
  • Enter and organize work orders within capacity and demand requirements.
  • Analyze and prepare documents needed for production.
  • Data analysis and decision making to support inventory supply & demand.
  • Manage long range material planning: inventory, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and production capacity.
  • Cross functional communication to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain Planning KPIs

Requirements 

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • ERP experience required, Sage X3 beneficial.
  • MRP Experience required.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  This is largely a sedentary role; however, the duties require the use of the hands to type and the ability to communicate, requires the ability to move about, some duties may occasionally require the ability to lift to 10lbs.
