What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk Front Desk/Night Auditor position at DESIMONE GAMING INC?
As a Front Desk Representative, you will welcome our guests, and by understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own the experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us. It is the primary responsibility of the Front Desk Clerk to sell assign rooms, register guests, determine credit render bills, receive cash and credit payment and provide guest service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.
- Welcome guests to the property and providing memorable service, anticipating guest needs and responding to and resolving any guest complaints.
- Deliver a seamless and professional experience managing early and late property arrivals/departures and walk-ins and all other tasks associated with guest room check-ins and check-outs.
- Enhance guest experience through offering upgraded accommodations where available in accordance with promotions.
- Partner with Housekeeping and other related departments to meet guest expectations and special requests.
- Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests while providing a relaxing and hassle-free experience from start to finish.
- Checks front desk records for accuracy daily, summarizes and complies information for hotels financial records. Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front desk operating statistics.
- Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the financial performance for the day.
- Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts including transactions not posted during the day by front desk clerks.
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested.
Required:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
- Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally.
- Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine.
- Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with attention to detail.
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.
- Knowledge of accommodations room capacities and amenities.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards.
- FOOD & TAM cards are necessary for this position
Preferred:
- Must have 1 year of experience as a Front Desk Clerk
- Experience with Opera Software
- Experience in handling cash, credit card.
- Experience in sales.
