Job Summary
We invite you to join a legacy 100 years in the making. Sorensen’s Cafe, nestled in the beautiful Sierras, has been serving up delicious food and creative drinks for all of Hope Valley’s travelers.
General Accountabilities
· Serves drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
· Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.
· Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
· Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries.
· Ensures smooth operation of restaurant services during absence of supervisor.
- Ensuring all opening and closing procedures are completed
- Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures
Job Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of wine, spirits, and different types of cuisines
- 5 years of bartending
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods
- Must be 21and over
- Must have a California food handlers card
- Can lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
