What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Assistant position at DeSoto Eye Care?
Desoto Eye Care is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician. Experience is preferred, but we will train an excellent candidate.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining and updating patient medical history in an electronic medical record.
- Patient calls and triage
- Has working knowledge of refraction, lensometry, keratometry, tonometry, visual field and OCT testing, topography, pupil exams, pachymetry, autoclave.
- Complete patient work(FMLA)
- Accept direction from supervisor and adheres to established routines
- Maintain exam rooms (cleaning, stocking) Assists with housekeeping of clinic
Ideal candidates are kind and compassionate. Must have reliable transportation. Experience with electronic medical records is a plus. We have three locations –Southaven, Olive Branch, and Memphis. This position may include travel to each.
High school diploma required.
Previous medical experience a plus.

Compensation: Salary is negotiable and is based on experience
