What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk position at DeSoto Memorial Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY :
Processing of all disbursements including coding with general ledger accounts, data entry of invoice information, printing checks, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Processing of biweekly payroll, completion of quarterly and annual payroll reports, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Distribution of weekly accounts payable check runs. Monitors and controls credit cards for authorized purchases.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for processing of all invoices, check requests and expense reports.
- Codes all invoices and check requests with general ledger account numbers.
- Verifies that all supporting documentation is attached to check requests and that all requests have proper authorization.
- Enters all invoices into the system on a timely basis.
- Process accounts payable checks weekly or as needed.
- Prepares monthly journal entries and reconciliations. Reconciles invoices to statements.
- Maintains files for all invoices.
- Completes daily cash report with all disbursements and deposit information.
- Responsible for processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Polling of time clocks and distributing time sheets. Preparation of net payroll deposit and all payroll deduction related check requests.
- Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed. Audit support.
