Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Program & Event Coordinator to join our incredible team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about organizing and executing successful events, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development, planning and implementation of events and activities including Destination Caldwell / Indian Creek Plaza signature events, Ice Skating, Farmers’ Market, and 3rd party rentals.
Promote, develop and implement programs to support all aspects of Destination Caldwell’s brand, including but not limited to Agriculture promotion and Tourism programs, Downtown reinvestment efforts, and community engagement.
Disseminates timely and accurate pre/post event information to all staff, vendors, and volunteers
- Serve as main point of contact for vendor communication
Maintains files related to event and vendor information, products, forms, licenses and permits required
Provides content and as requested, assists marketing department with event promotion on social media, website, including Facebook live, onsite social media posts, etc.
- Maintains inventory management system of skates, supplies, and merchandise
- Maintains inventory management system for alcohol sales on Plaza for events
- Assist with planning and implementation of Destination Caldwell fundraising events and programs as requested.
Aide in the direction of clients, volunteers, vendors, entertainers at all events including announcements
Communicate via microphone or face-to-face any necessary rules/guidelines for crowd management and safety of all guests
- Assist in management of cash-handling, POS systems, and deposits
- Assist in management of food/beverage services
- Assist with event set up and/or tear down including tables, chairs, tents, fencing, etc.
- Assist Operations staff with opening and closing of the facility as requested
- Communicate with local city/county/state administrative staff and police & fire personnel to ensure compliance with policies relevant to event type
- Expected to be onsite at events as requested
Perform as requested other positions: Bartender, Bar Back, Skate Shop Attendant, Rink Guard, Skate Guard, Opener, Closer
Assist with documentation of all aspects of each event including weather, attendance, vendor sales, etc.
- Other duties as assigned including back up Administrative Support as needed

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
