Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Location: Colorado
Reports To: Controller/ VP of Operations
Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resources Department, with a strong focus on payroll processing, benefits administration, employee record management, and compliance for our diverse group of restaurant and hospitality operations across various Colorado resort markets. This role also assists the Operations Department with employee recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The ideal candidate for HR Generalist is a team player and effective communicator with a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of payroll regulations and HR best practices in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of HR and payroll data.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist in audits related to payroll and HR functions.
- Respond to state unemployment inquiries and legal wage garnishment orders.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, employee inquiries, and billing reconciliation.
- Assist in recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Assist in performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate training and development programs as needed.
- Support disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in HR and payroll processing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in HR and payroll technology.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, labor laws, and HR best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience working with a diverse workforce in a hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards.
- Must be located in Colorado within driving distance to our restaurant locations.

- Competitive base salary $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience.
