Destiny Painting - Content Creator
Content Creator on a flexible schedule for Destiny Painting.
Overview:
The Content Creator will capture high-quality photo and video content showcasing our painting projects, including before-and-after shots, work-in-progress updates, and completed transformations. This generally will consist of going to 2-3 job sites each week, gathering media, and then uploading captured media to our system. This content will be used across our website, social media platforms, and marketing and advertising materials to highlight our craftsmanship and help potential clients envision the value we bring to their spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Photography: Capture high-quality photos of projects, including before, during, and after shots of both residential and commercial properties.
- Videography: Film and produce engaging video content showcasing our painting process, including time-lapse videos, client testimonials, project walk-throughs, before and afters, and more.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content ideas, plan shoot schedules, and ensure consistent storytelling across all visual assets.
- Equipment Management: Ensure all necessary camera equipment is prepared, set up, and properly managed on-site.
- File Management: Submit weekly captured materials to the proper folder within Google Drive.

Compensation & Time Commitment:
- 5-8 daytime weekday hours a week, varying with season and number of projects. (closer to 5 hours a week in fall and winter, closer to 8 hours a week in spring and summer)
- $850 a month flat rate, in season and out
- This is an independent contract position, not an hourly position. There are no benefits, mileage reimbursement, or other compensation in addition to the $850 given.
Requirements:
- Vehicle and Transportation: Must have a vehicle to get to 2-3 job sites each week in Tacoma, WA.
- Experience: 1 years of professional/personal experience in photography, videography, and content creation. It would be a benefit to have experience in real estate, architecture, or construction-related work, but not required. (Will provide some training assistance)
- Portfolio/Body of Work: Strong body of work showcasing experienced photography and videography skills as well as content creation.
- Social Media Understanding: Knowledge of social media platforms, high-performing styles of content, content trends, etc.
- Equipment: Familiarity with phone cameras and other professional cameras (DSLR, GoPro, DGI) and video equipment. Drone operation experience is a plus.
- Creativity: Ability to identify unique angles and perspectives that highlight the transformation of spaces.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, painters, and the marketing team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel locally to different project sites and adapt to varied project schedules.
- Meetings: The ability to participate in weekly collaborative meetings to discuss strategy, planning, ideas, and more.
