Position: Meaningful Day Services Supervisor
Reports To:
1. Executive Director

3. Quality Assurance Department
Job Goal:
The Meaningful Day Services Supervisor (DS) will oversee sound operation of
Day Habilitation and Vocational/Supported Employment services under
supervision and direction of the Meaningful Day Coordinator. DS will assist the
Day Coordinator to maintain order and functionality of the day-to-day operations
of Destiny Group Home Inc.’s Day Services. This includes supervisory
responsibilities for the certified and non-certified Direct Support Professional staff
of the Day Program and interaction with other program administrators. Day
Services Supervisor will review progress note completion and goal collection
data. DS will work to establish vocational, day habilitation and developmental
opportunities; DS will also assist in the onboarding and training of DSP team of
individuals to aid in vocational and day habilitation training duties.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in the field of Intellectual and
Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
2. Familiarity of characteristics of a wide range of disabilities.
3. Independent work ethic for self-management of schedule.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
5. Professional appearance and demeanor.
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
7. Ability to multi-task, schedule and facilitate both short and long term projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate supervision and evaluation of individuals in vocational training sites.
2. Secure community job placements for individuals at or over the age of 21.
3. Facilitate Person Centered Plan meetings for individuals receiving services with
or In-lieu of Day Coordinator.
4. Conduct individualized vocation planning meetings with individuals.
5. Maintain required paperwork including but not limited to goal sheets,
transportation notices, individual data, and attendance.
6. Monitor Day Service vehicle maintenance and needs.
7. Ensure appropriate staff engagement/interaction with individuals in service.
8. Spend a minimum of 45% of work time in providing instructional leadership to
staff assigned to the program.
9. Provide effective guidance and technical assistance to staff, especially to those
in need of improvement of performance.
10. Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings to discuss and resolve staff and
program issues and concerns.
11. Keep the Main Office informed of program, staff, facility and equipment needs.
12. Work collaboratively with other Destiny colleagues and representatives of outside
agencies.
13. Use community resources to enhance instructional programming.
14. Submit reports and other required information to the Main Office by the dates
assigned.
