Destiny Services seeks a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor to join our Petersburg, VA team. You’ll provide training and support to individuals with mental illness in a group setting, including instruction and assistance in daily living skills, medication management, health monitoring, socialization skills, and access to community resources. Additionally, you’ll develop treatment plans, complete quarterly reviews and maintain documentation.

About you:
- You have excellent interpersonal, crisis response and communication skills.

What we are looking for in your background:
· Associates Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in human services (social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling) and at least one year of clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness; or
· Bachelor's Degree with 15 credits in a human services field and at least three years of clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness; or
· Completion of a 12 week QMHPP training approved by DBHDS and at least one year of experience (including the 12 weeks of supervised experience) providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness
