Job Summary: The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for assisting Human Resources with various functions withing Human Resources including recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping, training, audits, and charting. Among other duties, they must handle employee data, coordinate employee benefits and incentives, manage hiring processes, and conduct the onboarding of new hires, to name a few. Under general guidance handling different human resources responsibilities and have sufficient professional experience along with strong communication abilities.
Essential Duties:
Destiny Springs Healthcare Employees will support compliance-related items by:

Human Resources
· Provides administrative support to Human Resources Director. This may include assisting with data entry, copying, filing, mailings, and other tasks of similar nature.
· Prepares correspondence for human resources area to include drafting and formatting letters, memos, forms, policies and procedures, reports, spreadsheets, etc., including confidential documents.
· Coordinates the recruitment and on-boarding processes of new hires and temporary personnel to include managing job postings, supporting the hiring manager, screening of candidates, scheduling interviews, maintaining files.
· Accurately maintains personnel data with the HRIS database.
· Maintains a variety of correspondence, notices, files, records, and/or other related information.
· Manages processes for separation of employment, both voluntary and involuntary.
· Administers procedures, documents and forms to ensure consistent communication and administration of human resources.
· Produces various human resources reports on HRIS system.
· Initiate and respond to inquiries when requested typically requiring further research of the issue; complete analysis and respond with recommendation and/or answer to question.
· Provide information to employees regarding policies, programs, career development, regulations, issues, options, etc.
· Resolve routine issues and employee concerns (e.g., new hire offers, availability/schedule of training programs, onboarding, etc.)
· Respond to inquiries, such as employment verifications, etc.
· May present training and/or information programs to groups of employees
· Assist in coordinating employee programs (benefits, leaves, training, employment, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities
· Conform with and abide by all Joint Commission, federal, state regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
· Works independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
· Performs all other duties, as assigned. Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Human Resource Management or Business) Focus on recruitment, onboarding, and recordkeeping preferred.
- 3 years previous experience working in Human Resources (preferably in a hospital environment).
- Focus on recruitment, onboarding, and recordkeeping.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Experience in working with confidential information required.
