About this role:
This role is to help create and maintain a robust production test capability. This role will assist Test Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers in the creation, deployment, and maintenance of test fixtures, assembly fixtures and certain production tools, fixtures, and equipment. The role shall require the ability to analyze tester performance for trends and malfunctions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for execution of production support related to equipment downtime and preventative maintenance (TPM)
- The first line of support for “Line-Down” situations
- Utilize troubleshooting skills to perform rework & repair of Equipment assigned
- Implement and maintain ESD mitigation and protection systems and equipment
- Analyze first-pass yield data to identify trends in tester robustness, perform RRCA, and take action to correct Equipment issues and assure ongoing high quality/yield
- Perform the initial troubleshooting of failures affecting equipment, fixtures, and processes within the assigned product assembly line(s). Assure proper resources are assigned to best resolve such issues
- Assist with the implementation/Installation of new fixtures and equipment. Fill in required documentation and evaluation of new test equipment and TPM plans
- Actively participate in production improvement activities and proactively seek and suggest improvement opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electronics
- 5 years of experience working as a technician performing test, calibration, and/or repair of electronic assemblies and maintenance & repair of production equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection processes and practices to ensure product integrity during testing and handling
- Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English, enabling effective communication and comprehension of technical documents
- Able to read and understand English prints, drawings, BOMs, and process instructions
- Must have experience working with electronic test equipment (digital multi-meters, oscilloscope, voltmeter, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits, identify issues, and apply corrective actions effectively
- Ability to solder both through-hole and surface mount parts
- Knowledge of best practices for soldering and crimping
- Experienced using computers and electronic files on a network and using the Microsoft Office suite of applications with proficiency in MS Excel
- Demonstrated ability to collect data and perform some basic analysis and/or graphical analysis
- Must be a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must possess good organizational and communication skills
- Able to occasionally lift 50lbs and regularly lift 15lbs. Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to safely use step stools or ladders on occasion

- Experience in mechanical assembly is a valuable addition, providing a broader skill set for troubleshooting and system assembly
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
