Medical Billers
A Growing and Progressive Community Health Center (with seven (7) locations throughout the metro Detroit area) has an immediate opening for a Medical Biller for a busy primary care practice in a patient friendly ambulatory setting.
Position Description
Responsible for researching information for the billing process, including getting charge information from physicians; codes information for procedures and diagnosis; data entry of online billing and posting to patient accounts; process and distributes copies of billing; account follow-up and collection; responds to customer inquiries; prepares monthly and transaction reports. Responsible for all Medical Billing activities, including billing to patients, Insurance carries and the State of Michigan.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing and collections
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical office procedures
- Ability to manage medical records and documentation efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills for interaction with healthcare professionals and patients
