Job Description:
Detroit IT is looking for a competent Office Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily operations of the company.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform receptionist duties including answering phones, emailing, mailing, shipping, data entry ect.
- Assisting office staff with administrative tasks
- Assist team in picking-up and delivering items to clients or for internal use when necessary.
- Assist CTO with various tasks and daily dog walking.
- Prepares conference room for use by the team for internal or client meetings. This includes making sure computer is turned on and any peripherals such as video and phone are set up and properly working.
- Reports daily work accomplished orally or via email to CTO.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an office assistant, virtual assistant or in another relevant administrative role
- Knowledge of “back-office” computer systems
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
