The People Team is a group of HR professionals looking to do all they can to support a high-performing team. From Recruitment to onboarding, engagement, learning and development, this team comes together to support the Lions most important asset: it’s people and team. The People Team Coordinator is a problem-solving phenom with a knack for finding creative solutions that always put people first.

This coordinator will be responsible for scheduling, systematizing and streamlining solutions that help us keep people at the center of all we do.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The People Team Coordinator will do the following:
- Oversee, organize and monitor people team workflow. Prioritize work assignments and adapt accordingly, always focused on agility and delivering for our team like we said we would
- Initiates follow-up on pending matters without being asked. Resolves day-to-day operational problems
- Create and maintain HR files, both onsite and in the cloud. We aspire to have documents and resources in a cloud-based secure environment and this individual will oversee that organization and implementation.
- Assists Sr. Director with benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, COBRA, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance program as needed.
- Partner with the internal communications team to oversee Intranet information that the Lions org sees every day.
- Assist and execute with onboarding and offboarding activities including co-facilitating new hire building tours
- Assist with the maintenance of personnel files including regular filing, conducting routine file audits, and purging files to ensure compliance standards are being met.
- Assist People Team with ad-hoc special projects requiring researching, compiling, analyzing and formatting data for report generation. May establish, utilize, and maintain database systems
- Keep payroll team informed of any changes to benefits; collaborate closely to ensure proper benefit administration.
- Assist with compliance reporting including EEO, ACA, OSHA and FLSA reports.
- Coordinate employee perk programs
- Oversee NFL-required compliance training
- Oversee management of our recognition programs and platform
- Assist Director of Culture and Inclusion with company -sponsored events
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Will maintain an appropriate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software used (and help us find new systems that help us do great work!)
- Will participate in team meetings and provide meeting communication updates to all parties involved as needed
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable policies and procedures so as to answer questions from employees when needed
- Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Gather and analyze information skillfully and develop solutions quickly and effectively
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion including but not limited to the following: legal documents, personnel records, pay records, personnel-related correspondence conversations, etc.
- Offboarding of employees as needed, providing administrative support across a workflow that requires high attention to detail
- Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
- SHRM certification strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years in Customer Service and/or Human Resources/People field required.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to, understand and articulate internal operations, services, goals, project timetables, guidelines and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, without formal instruction and to adapt quickly to competing priorities, conflicting deadlines and unexpected assignments.
- Ability to plan, organize and accomplish assignments accurately and efficiently with a high degree of professionalism in order to garner credibility and confidence.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and professional telephone etiquette skills.
- Exceptional verbal and professional written communication skills, using discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information and materials.
- Analytical and problem solving skills in order to research, compile and analyze data from multiple sources with an understanding and ability to perform mathematical computations
- Previous experience in a professional sports or entertainment venue preferred
- Will adjust schedule as needed to meet work goals and time constraints.
- May require work out of both the Ford Field Management Office and the Meijer Performance Center
