About the Role
This full-time position involves working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced imaging equipment to perform diagnostic interventional exams. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic interventional exams using appropriate imaging equipment
- Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness
- Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors
- Explain procedures to patients, including side effects, risks, benefits, and alternatives
- Set up equipment and acquire images as per script
- Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions from established protocols
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology or Vascular-Interventional Radiography
- At least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Excellent analytical, clinical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
