Position: Nurse for Plastic Surgery Office
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled nurse to join our esteemed plastic surgery practice at Detroit Plastic Surgery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, exceptional patient care skills, and an interest in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. As a nurse in our office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients, supporting our surgeons, and maintaining a smooth and efficient clinical environment. Additional experience with injectables, lasers and skin care are a plus.
Responsibilities
· Assisting the surgeons: Participate in consultations, providing education regarding upcoming surgical procedures, and providing compassionate post operative care.
· Patient Communication: Serve as a liaison working with surgeons evaluating patients and answering questions with empathy and professionalism.
· Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations and office policies.
· Patient safety: Adhere to strict sanitization protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
· Medical aesthetics: Ability to consult and provide patients with state of the art treatments ranging from skin care, injectables, peels, and non-invasive modalities in the medical spa.
Qualifications
· Education: Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a surgical or medical office setting.
· Skills: Proficiency in basic medical procedures, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
· Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiovascular Lift Support (ACLS)
