Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage customer service team and the procurement team for all the plant.
- Lead and manage the Plant Supply Chain team with the objectives of maximizing the service level, minimizing the logistic costs and inventories and accelerating the physical flows from suppliers to customers.
- Co-ordinate and manage the plant SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Plan) and MPS (Master production Scheduling) processes ensuring they are realistic and consistent.
- Recognize and manage all demands for products from customers by driving Sales and operation plan and Master production Schedules.
- Manage together with his/her team both the physical and information flow from the customers to the suppliers.
- Manage the load of the plant and propose resource allocations regarding customer demands.
- Manage inventory.
- Define and follow up indicators and targets for the team.
- Support the implementation with the appropriate departments (APU, Logistics, Purchasing, VPS) tools and methods in order to improve the supply chain organization like Pull flow, Kanban, EDI, Milk run.
- Ensure the Supply Chain Interface between customers and suppliers.
- Measure the supply chain performance through KPIs as following: Customer and Supplier Delivery performance, Throughput Time, Premium Freight, etc…
- Improve continuously the supply chain expertise and knowledge of his/her department.
- Participate, support and sponsors the Supply Chain Network Activities, deploy its strategies and tools.
- Lead the plant SIOP and MPS meetings and processes at plant level and identify internal and external bottlenecks.
- Improve continuously the SIOP and MPS processes. Ensure the respect of procedures and maintain them at the best level.
- Manage bottlenecks issues by coordinating actions with customers and critical resources (suppliers, production).
- Ensure the plant industrial objectives by optimizing resources and inventory level.
- Follow up realization of the MPS and propose correctives actions connected with components availability.
- Define with flow analyst the inbound and outbound transportation plans.
- Coordinate customer logistics team to issue sales forecasts and analyze significant variations in customer needs, propose adapted actions and negotiate the variations with customers if necessary.
- Up date and analyze customer service rate for all customers.
- Manage cooperation and logistics issues with logistics external platforms.
- Ensure data are put into ERP system in order to set up customers’ needs in the SIOP and in the MPS.
- Follow up delivery performance, daily shipments and production priorities in co-ordination with production and take correctives actions needed.
- Manage with customers the availability of returnable containers.
- Measure the daily service rate for each Customer (using the Customers’ calculation and also the internal calculation). Propose action plans to improve the service level.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years or more of related logistics experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of logistics systems, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Bachelor degree in related field required.
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Additionally, basics of SCM from APICS certification.
