What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Experience Coordinator position at Detroit Tigers?
Job Summary:
The Guest Experience Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the guest experience operation at Detroit Tigers games and all events at Comerica Park. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, service-oriented, self-motivated, professional leader who works well within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Guest Experience department through event staff oversight, service recovery implementation, and positive interaction with all guests and colleagues
- Manage events as needed at Comerica Park
- Develop event notes for select events and assist with preparatory tasks
- Provide support to Guest Experience department by assisting with guest recovery using all our channels including Qualtrics, email, and phone calls
- Manage uniforms, distribution, and compliance for each venue/event
- Assist with staffing private events and concerts
- Assist in hiring, training, and staff development at each of the venues including attending the bi-weekly orientations
- Assist with managing the equipment for the department including radios, scanners, and batteries
- Manage the time approval process for Guest Experience department by using our Workday platform
- Assist with colleague appreciation
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Hospitality, Sports Management or related field.
- Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience.
- Must have working knowledge and ability to use web and software-based scheduling and payroll programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Must have ability to receive directions and requests from multiple sources.
Working Conditions:
- Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to moderate - high noise level.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent visual/auditory attention.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly exposed to a facility environment, outside weather conditions, extreme cold/heat, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles.
