Press, Sr. and is today a leading freight forwarder in the field of turnkey projects, heavy lift and special transports on both a national and an international level.The deugro group specializes in several independently operating service areas to ensure the successful handling of the operative business for the deugro group. With dservice GmbH, all supporting functions such as Controlling, Finance, Human Resources, Business Processes and IT, Consolidation, Marketing, and QHSES are consolidated in one entity.
Become a part of our Operations team at our location Greenville, South Carolina. For the next possible date we are looking for you in fulltime (40h/week) as Logistics Coordinator.
The logistics coordinator will be learning the following areas of operation: Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Ground/Trucking, Pricing, Billing.
- Other duties may be assigned:
- Assist in the management of suppliers, sub-contractors, and third-party cargo handlers.
- Assist in the Operations, Billing, and Administration focus areas, which requires attention to detail and compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Receive hands on field experience and exposure to transport engineering.
- Assist the tender management group with RFQ's and bid tender responses.
- Work constructively in a team-oriented environment to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Become familiar with deugro in-house operating systems, Accounting Systems, Tracking Systems, CargoWise, Visiotrack
- Establish and ensure that the goals and policies of the company are met.
- Adhere to all company policies in areas of Compliance, QHSES, Code of Business Conduct, Employee Handbook, etc.
- Other administrative tasks as assigned.
What you can contribute:
- Successfully completed training in the field of freight forwarding
- General understanding of freight forwarding–related companies (import/export, FCL, LCL, air freight, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of industrial international logistics concepts and main transport modalities
- The ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines
- Familiarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)
- Fluent English skills, both written and verbal
- The willingness to travel on national and international business trips (10 – 25%)
