Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engine Import Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Engine Import Manager with creating purchase orders for engines for DCA to DEUTZ AG, sometimes DEUTZ Shanghai, and external engine suppliers. The Engine Import Analyst also creates, extends, and updates Master Data for engines such as Material Master, Purchasing Info Records. The Engine Import Analyst will interact with Customer Service, Sales, and Engineering to ensure that the correct engines are being ordered. Also, the Engine Import Analyst will assist with Material Management and ensure that sufficient inventory levels in the different warehouses are maintained to meet customer demands, minimize excess inventory and identify discrepancies. The ideal candidate must have SAP or similar ERP experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Engine Import Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Create and manage purchase orders for engines.
- Create and update Master Data.
- Interact with DEUTZ AG’s shipping department to ensure timely shipments (seafreight/airfreight) to the appropriate destinations.
- Collaborate with DEUTZ AG’s customer service.
- Ensure that correct EPA nameplates are ordered for special situations; collaborate with Emissions Compliance Dept.
- Understand and execute additional tasks which are required for purchases from external suppliers.
- Utilize other programs, such as IBP, Eltab, Jira, etc. when required.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
