Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY :
The National Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and growing key client relationships for the DEUTZ Power Center (DPC) Network, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. They develop and implement strategic account plans, identify growth opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. The role involves frequent travel to meet clients, oversee service delivery, and attend industry events. Effective communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills are essential for success in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
The National Key Account Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Foster customer loyalty and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and address client needs.
- Work with the Sales Director to align on sales strategies and objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Utilize and interpret syndicated volume and pricing data to support ongoing pricing activities and drive value capture.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Sales Director on account performance and market trends.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators and financial metrics.
- Lead change management programs and talent development initiatives.
- Participate in capability-building workshops and training programs to stay updated on best practices.
- Ensure that all reporting is submitted in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Demands : Frequent weekly travel within the territory, and quarterly travel to other local and outside assigned territory locations may be required with overnight stays.

Description
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Decision Sciences.
12 years of work experience, with at 5 years in a leadership role, particularly in sales / account management within manufacturing, project, services, or R&D environments
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products with particular focus on advanced Excel. Significant experience with pivot tables, look-up tables and macros required
Experience in the diesel engine, automobile, manufacturing, distributed / multi-location businesses, or service sectors

LANGUAGE ABILITY :
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY :
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY :
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
