What You'll Be Doing :
Dev interns will work as members of an active Agile development team, responsible for participating in all Agile ceremonies, updating Jira tasks daily, and contributing to our continuous improvement processes. You will work with team members and stakeholders to analyze, design, and test solutions that meet the client's needs. Interns will also work on a technical intern project with the rest of the internship team.
In support of this project and the customer's mission, you will do the following :
- Collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders to understand needs and priorities
- Create business process flow diagrams, screen mock-ups, and other UML diagrams to elicit requirement
- Document requirements and refine User Stories in Jira
- Work with other team members to propose and design solutions for customer needs
- Take notes, participate in, and lead (as needed) Agile Scrum meetings, such as Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review / Planning, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Assist with integration, functional qualification, regression, and user acceptance testing as needed
- Provide Tier II Support and monitor system for issues
- Communicate with Government clients at field offices and the CART development team to troubleshoot system issues
- Help document and maintain system troubleshooting processes
- Update and enhance the issue knowledge base
- Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to team
- Provide input to the Confluence collaborative site, as well as maintain and improve the organization of the site
- Perform quality assurance and review work of peers
- Identify and communicate areas for improvement in the application, customer business processes, and internal team operations
- Communicate key insights and findings to the product team
- Work with fellow summer interns on a technically focused project and present the groups' results to the executive team at the end of the program. Past projects have included creating a mentorship web application, designing a wellness mobile application, and creating a technical environment as well as reaching out to local universities regarding a hackathon / tech challenge.
- Attend corporate-level meetings to learn about other areas of the business, such as business development, finance, and project management
