Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients and internal teams. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with network connectivity, and ensure that all systems are functioning optimally. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of various operating systems.
Duties
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues across multiple platforms including Windows Server, Mac OS, and other operating systems.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, including LAN configurations and TCP/IP settings.
- Utilize tools such as ServiceNow and Remedy to log incidents, track progress, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Assist users with computer hardware setup, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical challenges and provide clear solutions.
- Document technical processes and create user guides for common issues to enhance the support knowledge base.
- Collaborate with IT teams to identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of operating systems including Windows Server and Mac OS.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP networking concepts and LAN configurations.
- Experience in providing technical support in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or Remedy ticketing systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
