Summary
As a Dishwasher at Development Homes, Inc., you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within our kitchen facilities. Your contributions will ensure that our staff can focus on providing exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for someone to work Saturday and Sundays from 7:30-11:00 but can be flexible. Additional hours available if wanted.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors and surfaces.
- Assist in food preparation as needed under the guidance of culinary staff.
- Help organize and store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.
- Support kitchen staff.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Garbage and recycling
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must pass a DHI Background Check in line with DHI policy and DHS standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to assist others and contribute positively to the team atmosphere.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
