Job Summary
It is the primary function of the Director - Capital Markets to work closely with the executive team to lead all aspects of Debt & Equity sourcing for all current and future development platforms. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, managing all banking and investor relationships, creating and executing capital sourcing strategies for the company, exploring and identifying alternative sources of capital. Work with the development team to systemize the capital raising process, manage the production and consistency of marketing materials to aid in capital sourcing activities.

Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising
Develop and implement strategies for raising debt and equity capital for real estate development projects.
Identify and engage with potential investors, lenders, and financial partners to secure funding.
Work with development teams to prepare and present offering memorandums, financial models, investment proposals, and pitch decks to prospective investors and lenders to communicate capital needs across the company’s business lines.
Negotiate terms and conditions of financing agreements, ensuring alignment with the company's financial objectives and project goals.
Coordinate the company’s network of known capital sources into a centralized database and active tracking tool.
Financial Strategy and Planning
Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute the company's capital markets strategy.
Monitor capital markets and provide strategic guidance to the executive team.
Analyze financial markets, economic trends, and industry developments to identify opportunities for raising capital.
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team on financing options and strategies.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all capital markets-related activities.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company's profile and network.
Internal Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with the CEO and other senior executives to develop and implement plans for capital deployment in investment and development opportunities.
Work with development and asset management teams at all stages of the investment cycle to provide strategic insight from a capital markets perspective.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge, keeping up on industry trends and applying that knowledge to the job.
Perform other duties as assigned.
TRAVEL: Business travel required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate related field.
Master's Degree in Finance or Real Estate related field a plus.
10 years of experience in Capital sourcing (real estate, banking, private equity, funds, etc.).
Advanced skills in Project Finance and Sales/Marketing.
Knowledge of Building Construction and Asset Management.
Appropriate computer software skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, CRM, etc.).
Adept at involving appropriate teams in decisions and resolving conflicts.
Capability to encourage collaboration while ensuring accountability for performance.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills to engage all levels with influence.
Ability to deliver persuasive messages that inspire action.
