Your day as a Director of Employment and Day Services

The Director of Employment and Day Services at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC) plays a pivotal role in shaping inclusive and impactful services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Reporting directly to the Deputy Director, this leadership position is responsible for developing and overseeing a comprehensive suite of community and facility-based services across two program sites in Arvada and Lakewood. The Director will supervise Assistant Directors to ensure compliance with day and employment programs, delivering services that are person-centered and aligned with industry standards. A commitment to DDRC's mission, vision, and values is essential, as the Director will model person-centered practices through communication, policy development, and daily interactions. By fostering a collaborative culture of safety and fun, initiating innovative programs, and leading the employment and day support teams, the Director will facilitate meaningful community engagement and professional growth for all staff and the individuals they serve.

To excel as the Director of Employment and Day Services at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a Master's Degree preferred. A minimum of five years of successful professional, administrative, and supervisory experience is crucial, particularly in managing Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to person-centered practices, ensuring that services align with the desires of individuals receiving support.
