Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Production Team Lead - DSP
DIVISION: Industrial
SUPERVISOR: Regional Industry Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
PURPOSE:
Complete inspections, audits, and validations necessary to provide quality assurance. Maintain regulatory compliance including OSHA, DOL, ISO/QS, Local, State and Federal Regulations and internal policies of DSI (Developmental Services Inc.).
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Ensure that all departmental and agency policies as well as state and federal laws are being followed.
2. Ensure all required regulatory and customer documentation is completed and maintained.
3. Monitor operational systems and processes to ensure compliance of ISO procedures, DSI Quality System and customer standards.
4. Provide individual and group training as needed.
5. Monitor Production Workers, ensuring that industrial norms and quality standards are met.
6. Ensure staff are following all safety precautions, personal and environmental.
7. Complete and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
8. Verify training of all production workers.
9. Identify continuous improvement and preventive action opportunities.
10. Support a positive atmosphere which promotes a team approach to solutions, good morale, and open communication.
11. Perform production work as needed to ensure customer demands are completed in a timely manner.
12. Collect non-conforming data monthly to assist with creating a quarterly management report.
13. Work effectively with all members of the management team to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of work services and overall agency expectations.
14. Communicate with internal and external customers on a regular basis using excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
15. Attending meetings and training as requested by Industry Manager, Regional Industry Manager or internal and external customers.
16. Perform other duties as requested by Industry Manager or Regional Industry Manager.
17. Must complete all required DSP training for interaction with employee clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School diploma or GED preferred.
2. Previous experience working in a warehouse setting preferred.
3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
4. Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
