What You’ll Do:
As the Life Opportunities Program Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the Director of Life Opportunities to support the overall success of our Life Opportunities (LO) program. You'll oversee client services, supervise staff, ensure accurate documentation, and help facilitate a vibrant, supportive environment that encourages individuals to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day operations and programming for clients
- Write and oversee Life Opportunities plans and documentation
- Supervise and support direct care staff, including training and coaching
- Monitor and maintain compliance with DMH and CARF standards
- Track services provided, behavioral supports, and goal progress
- Serve as acting director in the absence of the Director
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting and client record maintenance
- Participate in assessments, ISP goal development, and meaningful day planning
- Train and implement Tools of Choice (ToC), crisis intervention, and other behavior support strategies
Who You Are:
- A natural leader with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experienced in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Passionate about helping others grow and succeed
- Calm under pressure, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data systems
- Strong writing experience (monthly reports, summaries, goals, etc.)
- Professional demeanor and collaborative spirit
Licenses/Certifications Required (or willing to obtain):
- CPR/First Aid
- Level 1 Medication Aide
- NVCI
- Chauffeur’s license preferred
