What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Admissions Associate position at Devils Fork State Park?
JOB PURPOSE:
Admissions Associates are the front line of every state park. As such, they are responsible for, and provide, the best first impression for every visitor to our park.
- Accurately count available parking spots and communicate via radio
- Direct “guaranteed parking” users to their spots
- Ensure visitors comply with parking policies
- Provide directions when needed
- Provide excellent customer service
- Must have weekend availability
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have RELIABLE transportation
- This position requires working in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Light to medium lifting
- Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
- Exposure to weather conditions, cleaning agents and other materials used in maintaining park facilities and grounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Responsible for daily opening and closing operations of admissions booth, i.e. counting drawers, making change, etc.
- Bilingual candidates may be eligible for wage increase*
POSITION START DATE: April 17, 2025
Hourly Wage: $10.00/Hour
This is a part-time, seasonal position: (April-October)
Booths are in operation 6 days a week (Wed-Sun, and Mon) (Booths are closed every Tuesday)
Shifts are typically 8 hours at 20-30 hours/week. (More hours available upon request)
