Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead a high-impact Customer Information System (CIS) replacement project. This role involves managing the technology implementation, stakeholder coordination, and system integration of a large-scale enterprise IT project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise system upgrades, billing systems, and IT infrastructure, with a strong ability to manage risks, drive project timelines, and ensure successful adoption of the new system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the IT implementation of the CIS replacement project.
- Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and city officials to facilitate system deployment.
- Ensure seamless data migration, system integrations, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
- Provide regular project updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead change management efforts to drive user adoption and minimize disruption.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience managing large-scale IT projects, especially enterprise system replacements.
- Strong understanding of billing systems, customer information systems, data migration, and IT infrastructure.
- Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Familiarity with cloud-based and on-premise IT solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL certification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with CIS vendors and utility billing systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in government IT environments.
- Experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, and change management strategies.
