Structural Engineering Intern

Dewberry is currently seeking a Structural Engineering Intern with an anticipated start in January 2025 to join our Boston, MA office.

The intern would be working in our Transportation Group focused on structural (bridge and tunnel) projects. Typical responsibilities include:

Developing and evaluating engineering solutions
• Preparing design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and drawings
• Performing inspections of existing structures
• Assisting with various studies and documenting results
• Adherence to assigned project schedules and budgets
• Writing internal communications
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Must be currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering, emphasis in structural engineering or transportation a plus.
• Previous internship experience a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred; Civil 3D is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Summer Intern Program

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
