Dewberry has a great opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer Technical Lead in our Orlando, FL office. You will be part of a strong site civil team that provides comprehensive services to a wide variety of clients. We’re looking for someone who has a strong background and working knowledge of both drainage and utilities modeling. Someone who enjoys mentoring and training other engineers, has a good report with public agencies, and a successful engineering and construction track record.
Typical projects involve site civil design for energy, commercial, residential, higher education and industrial site development projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design for internal teams on site civil projects including grading design and roadway design, storm water management systems, sewer, water and reuse modeling and design.
- Review and assist the team with engineering plans, calculations and reports, and quality control review of these items.
- Assists with scope and fee determinations for proposed engineering services.
- Lead for training and mentoring of staff.
- Coordinates design review process and permitting through outside agencies and assistance with client coordination.
- Review shop drawings and assist with RFIs.
- Opportunities to represent Dewberry with city, county, state and federal agencies.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- BS degree in Civil Engineering.
- Florida PE required.
- 10 years of experience in design and construction of land development projects.
- Background in the higher education and/or energy market is a plus.
- Ability to provide concise technical expertise to design staff.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert in AutoCAD or Microstation and Microsoft office is required.
- Excellent skill set and knowledge of Water Gems, Sewer Gems, and ICPR.
