Summary : The Head of IT will be responsible for planning, designing, maintaining, and supporting all IT infrastructure for the company. This jack-of-all-trades position encompasses all aspects of IT as related to the company.Duties : Oversee day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s information technology and communications infrastructure and related user support to the company’s employees, including but not limited to email infrastructure, internet access, line of business applications, wired / wireless networks, file management and collaboration services, phone systems, smartphones, tablets, workstations, laptops, videoconferencing, and remote access.Manage IT related onboarding and offboarding tasks for all company employees, contractors, interns, etc.Manage all software / hardware licensing, warranties, vendor contracts and relationships, as they pertain to ITProactively determine technology improvement projects for company that will benefit the company and its employees.Research, recommend, and manage implementation of these technology improvement projects.Develop, implement, and administer IT policies for all employees and systems in areas including but not limited to security, data management, data retention, and appropriate use.Continually assess technologies, vendors, calling plans, etc. in order to potentially reduce costs.Regularly consult with management to determine needs and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reliability.Engage with other department heads and team members to review and discuss topics related to technology as it pertains to the IT department and the needs of the companyMinimum Qualifications10 years in the IT industry, focusing on small to medium sized business’Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related experienceExcellent Verbal and Written Communication SkillsProject and Vendor Management experienceExperience with supporting end users and managing multiple projects in a ?fast-paced environmentUnderstanding of general IT network architecture and technologiesKnowledge and experience with Apple and Windows products, Google Apps, Office 365, Meraki, and network monitoring and security tools.Knowledge of IP Telephony technologies and systemsMust be a self-starter and have excellent time management skillsExperience supporting IT in a Venture Capital and / or Private Equity firm highly preferredDeWinter Group and Maris Consulting is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
