Job Title: Accountant
Location: Birmingham, AL
Duration: 5-6 months contract with possible extension
Salary: $25.96/ - $27.96/hr. on W2.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, managing financial transactions, and providing strategic financial insights to support the organization's goals. This role involves a high level of expertise and leadership in accounting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Develop and manage budgets, as well as forecast future financial performance. This includes monitoring variances and making necessary adjustments. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized. Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns.

- Must possess a detailed understanding of the Project Systems (PS) module within SAP (OneSource)
