Corporate Accountant needed for my client in the greater Raleigh area. This is a hybrid role with a growing organization.
Location: RTP/Morrisville and will require 3 days on site. This is a permanent role that is slated to remain hybrid.
Reports To: Finance Manager
The summary and day to day:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a non-profit organization's reports and statements. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation and management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate and complete annual audits, working with external auditors.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
- Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
- Internal Controls: Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Grant Management: Keep track of donations, grants, and other forms of funding.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in strategic planning and decision-making at the managerial level.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience,.
- Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and GAAP compliance.
