Job Details Senior Accountant – TSG Corporate – Remote (Raleigh, NC) The Select Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. This person will work remotely from Raleigh, NC and report directly to our Assistant Controller. They will collaborate with the Controller and leadership team to support the monthly close process, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency. Our service areas—Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Digital Transformation, Learning & Development, and Project Management & Agile—are designed to create long-term success by aligning with your business goals and advancing to meet future demands.   Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger Take part in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting, including revenue recognition, expense analysis, and balance sheet account balance sheet reconciliations. Upload large, complicated entries into the general ledger system (thousands of records Prepare account reconciliations Prepare monthly subcontractor and consultant labor accrual Reconcile vendor management system hours with internal time-keeping records and resolve discrepancies. Assists in monitoring compliance of management rules and internal control policies. Evaluate cost center and other transaction attributes to ensure proper GL coding to help management provide insights into performance, identifying trends and areas for optimization. Support the development and refinement of costing practices. Assist with cross functional intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Partner with assistant controller to improve financial reporting and analysis processes. Other projects and duties as assigned. Key Qualifications: 5+ years accounting experience B.S. degree in Accounting Understanding of journal entries and account reconciliations Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Xlookups, Index, Pivot tables) Strong time management planning organizational skills Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing Strong research and problem-solving skills Possess a strong attention to detail Self-starter Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Understanding of the A/R, A/P, and month-end accounting processes Tax experience preferred Logical, efficient, and creative, with keen attention to detail  Highly self-motivated and self-directed  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure  Highly motivated self-starter with a sense of ownership and willingness to learn   Our Culture:   At TSG, our culture is grounded in taking care of one another.
