What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer position at Dexian?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with the assembly team to establish and teach soldering standards and advanced techniques.
- Provide subject matter expertise in soldering and electronics to design/redesign training content.
- Support the instructional design process, including the creation of visuals, materials, and program content.
- Assess employee needs, identify performance gaps, and adapt training materials accordingly.
- Measure the success of training initiatives and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance analysis using CPI/EJCS data and ensure alignment with PSL competencies.
Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in soldering and electronics with hands-on experience.
- IPC J-STD certification preferred.
- Training Delivery:
- Proven experience developing and delivering technical training programs, including visuals and content.
- Ability to adapt training materials to suit diverse learning styles and performance gaps.
- Tools and Equipment:
- Experience working with soldering equipment.
- Experience and Education:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in technical training or instructional design.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting performance analysis of employees and students.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of professional development curriculum design.
