Job Title: Paralegal
Location : New Orleans, LA
Duration of Assignment : 6 Months contract to hire role
Pay Range $27.00/hr to $28.00/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with 2-5 years of experience working in Louisiana to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Louisiana law, court procedures, and parish-specific rules. We are looking for someone who can confidently step in and manage case files with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage new file assignments, including drafting initial pleadings such as answers, motions, and discovery requests.
Assist attorneys with identifying and summarizing key issues, particularly related to medical records.
Communicate effectively with Claim Business Partners, Plaintiff Attorneys, and clients regarding case status and discovery questions.
Draft, review, and serve responses to discovery demands.
Support attorneys in preparing materials for trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
Handle personal injury case files with confidence and precision.
What We’re Looking For:
2-5 years of paralegal experience in Louisiana (more experience is welcome).
Strong understanding of Louisiana legal procedures, subpoenas, and medical record ordering.
Excellent drafting, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and independently.
